General Questions

Library staff members are available during business hours to answer your questions. You may ask questions in-person or contact staff via phone or email. 

  • In-Person: Visit the front desk in the library.
  • By Phone: Call the front desk at (910) 410-1749
  • By Email: Send an email (askalibrarian@richmondcc.edu) to the library.

If your question involves in-depth research, we suggest you use the Ask-A-Librarian service (details listed below).

Ask-A-Librarian

Schedule a consultation to receive one-on-one research help from a librarian in-person or via MS Teams. Appointment sessions range from 30 to 45 minutes, depending on the depth of the question(s). Requests must be submitted 24 hours in advance. You may choose to visit the library without scheduling an appointment, but be aware a librarian may not be available to help you.

Students, faculty, and staff may send research questions to the library email (askalibrarian@richmondcc.edu) account to receive help via email without scheduling an appointment. Emails are only answered during library operating hours.

Chat & Text Message

Chat with a librarian 24/7. Click on the link below or send a text message to 910-356-8984 to ask a librarian questions. Available Monday thru Sunday, excluding Sunday mornings from 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. Unavailable during federal holidays.

This service is specifically for students, faculty, and staff of RichmondCC. Community members, we highly encourage you to contact your local public library to see chat and texting options available for you.
