Print books are shelved upstairs in the Library by subject area. Each book has a label attached to the spine with an alphanumeric code, known as the call number. The following are some suggestions of call number ranges for this subject:

QH -- Natural history - Biology
QM -- Human anatomy
QP -- Physiology
QR -- Microbiology
RB -- Pathology

The Library has five eBook collections from NC Live. Use your email username and password to access them off-campus. The collections most relevant for you are:

eBooks on Ebscohost
Over 26,000 fiction, reference, scholarly, and professional books online.
Ebook Central
Scholarly titles supporting student and faculty research, and general nonfiction on topics such as school & studying, career development, arts & leisure, and practical life skills.

Book Services

You have several options if we do not own a book you need.

Fill out an InterLibrary Loan (ILL) Form here . A librarian will attempt to get a book for you from another library. It may take from two (2) to four (4) weeks for it to arrive, assuming the librarian is successful in obtaining the book. You will be contacted either way.
Fill out the Purchase Request Form . We will try to buy your request. It may take a month or more for your book to be available. We give priority to academic titles.
Check out the Sandhills Regional Public Library System. The RichmondCC Library's priority is titles supporting our curriculum. We provide some popular fiction and non-fiction titles. Your public library will have more.
